Bisci at OperaWine 2026 — Seven consecutive selections among Italy’s finest
On April 11, 2026, in Verona, Bisci will once again take its place at OperaWine — the most exclusive event on the Italian wine calendar.
OperaWine is born from the collaboration between Veronafiere and the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator, one of the world’s most influential wine publications, reaching over 3.5 million readers worldwide. Each year, its team of experts selects 150 Italian wineries considered the most representative in the country, divided into three categories: Legacy Icons, Classics and New Voices. Bisci has been included in the Classic category — producers who are leaders in their respective appellations, with a consistent track record of quality and territorial identity.
The event takes place on the Saturday before the opening of Vinitaly, in the magnificent setting of the Gran Guardia palace in Verona, and brings together journalists, buyers and wine professionals from across the globe. It is, in short, the most important stage on which an Italian producer can present itself to the international market.
For Bisci, this marks a seventh consecutive selection — not an occasional appearance, but a steady recognition that rewards the consistency of a path. A winery founded in 1972 in Matelica, in the Marche region, that has made Verdicchio di Matelica its life’s work.
The wine representing Bisci at OperaWine 2026 is the Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva Senex 2019 — our flagship wine, produced only in the finest vintages, aged for a minimum of five years on fine lees in vitrified cement tanks. A wine that embodies everything we believe in: territory, patience and minimal intervention.
We are proud to bring the DOC Verdicchio di Matelica to this international stage once again. And proud to do so with the Senex.
See you in Verona, April 11, 2026.
