Bisci EstateA family story
Founded in 1972, Bisci is rooted in the forward-thinking vision of Giuseppe and PierinoBisci, who relied on the expert advice of local farmers—true connoisseurs of the Marche hills. It was they who identified Fogliano Alto as the premier site for producing Verdicchio di Matelica, thanks to its extraordinary combination of altitude, exposure, and soil characteristics.
In this authentic setting, nestled among the rolling hills that bridge the provinces of Macerata and Ancona, the Bisci Winery came to life: a mosaic of 25 hectares, featuring 18 hectares of Verdicchio and 2 hectares of Sangiovese and Merlot.
For over 50 years, this privileged corner of the Marche region has been the cradle of our Verdicchio di Matelica DOC and DOCG—a wine that embodies the strength of the land, the agricultural wisdom passed down through generations, and the passion that guides every choice our family makes.

Our cellarOrganic protocols (CCPB) from 2016
The Bisci cellar located at the center of the vineyards, was built in 1980, partly adapting the old country houses and partly building new annexes. Viticulture practices have always been at high quality standards and nowadays follow Organic protocols (certified by CCPB). Sulphur and copper base products are utilized and “Managed” cover crops between the rows of vines are used. If the necessity arises, the soil is tilled in order to avoid hydric competition with the vines. When needed, organic fertilizer (manure) is used after the harvest.
The first vintages of organic wine is available since 2019. Come and discover our entire selection.
