Bisci\u2019s Merlot IGT Marche<\/strong> has been awarded 91 points by Decanter<\/strong>, a recognition that confirms the quality and elegance of this wine.<\/p>\n

The wine is made from 100% Merlot grapes<\/strong>, grown in the estate\u2019s organically farmed vineyards<\/strong>. Planted from 2001 onwards<\/strong>, the vineyards are located on calcareous-clay soils with southern exposure<\/strong>, ideal conditions for achieving full ripeness and a fine balance between structure and freshness.<\/p>\n

Harvest takes place in the first days of October<\/strong>. Fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks<\/strong>, followed by ageing in vitrified concrete<\/strong> and at least three months of bottle ageing<\/strong>, a process designed to preserve the varietal integrity of Merlot while enhancing its aromatic profile.<\/p>\n

On the sensory level, the wine shows an intense ruby red colour<\/strong>. The nose is fruity<\/strong>, with notes of ripe blackberries<\/strong> and delicate herbal hints<\/strong>. On the palate it stands out for its sweet, supple tannins<\/strong>, overall harmony and an elegant, lingering finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 91-point score awarded by Decanter<\/strong> further confirms the work of the Bisci family<\/strong> in enhancing the Matelica terroir, also through international grape varieties interpreted with consistency, precision and a strong sense of place.<\/p>\n
